UNDERGROUND 8: A Symphony of Speed, Smoke, and Fast X with Tapaswi Racing
The Smell of Petrol. The Roar of Machines. The Underground Vibe.
If you know, you know.
Underground 8 wasn’t just another car meet — it was a full-blown celebration of Indian car culture, high-octane machinery, and community spirit, brought to life by Tapaswi Racing in collaboration with Universal Studios India for the premiere of Fast X.
Held in the gritty confines of a basement in Pune, Underground 8.1 welcomed India’s finest automotive builds, adrenaline junkies, and petrol-fueled souls to what felt like a real-life Fast and Furious set.
Where Car Culture Meets Counter Culture
We’ve always believed that cars are more than machines — they’re an identity. And Underground 8 proved exactly that. The moment you rolled into the venue, the scent of petrol hit you like morning coffee after a long night — addictive, nostalgic, and electrifying.
This wasn’t your average meet. It was curated chaos. With dozens of cars revving, music thumping, and flashes of strobes slicing through the smoke-filled air, Underground 8 was an experience — a place where the passionate came to play, connect, and unleash their inner gearhead.

From Vintage Legends to Modern Monsters
Underground 8 showcased an insane range of builds — from clean SS80s and savage Polos, to Ferraris, Lamborghinis, McLarens, and India’s fastest Nissan GT-R. If you’re into JDM, Euro, muscle, or electric — we had it all under one roof.
Whether it was the Lamborghini Aventador, a modded Tata Tiago that stole hearts (and even left auto legends like Adil Jal Darukhanawala in awe), or the McLaren GT, 488 Pista, and Ferrari 296 GTB, every machine came with attitude. The JDM crew rolled in hard, with builds that lit up the floor and shook the walls. But the showstopper? The GT-R with the fastest quarter-mile record in India. Gojira didn’t come to play — it came to dominate.
Bikes, Burnouts & Basement Madness
Underground isn’t just about cars. It’s about the culture. So, alongside the four-wheelers were Ducatis, stunt riders, skateboarders, and performers pushing the limits of physics and nerve.
And then came the moment everyone will remember — Sanam Sekhon, India’s drift king, tearing up the basement in his 2JZ Lexus GS300. With surgical precision and signature madness, he drifted inches from display cars and pillars, leaving nothing but smoke trails and stunned silence.
The Tapaswi Touch: Invite-Only for a Reason
Underground is exclusive for a reason. We don’t do public chaos. We curate like-minded enthusiasts, creators, and communities that live and breathe car culture. You don’t just walk in — you earn your spot.
Even our guests from evo India rolled in with two monsters: the all-electric Audi RS e-tron GT and the Mercede – AMG GT 63 S E Performance — a statement that true performance doesn’t care what powers it.

Lights. Engines. Action: The Fast X Premiere
To top it all off, Underground 8.1 hosted the exclusive premiere of Fast X — right after the fumes settled and the hearts were still racing. It was the perfect cinematic close to a night filled with adrenaline, torque, and unity.
We’re Just Getting Started
Underground isn’t just an event. It’s a movement. A culture. A rebellion against ordinary. Every year, we push the envelope, and 2023 was no different.
The entire Tapaswi Racing crew thank every participant, partner, and enthusiast who helped make Underground 8 an unforgettable ride.
Stay Underground.!
